John has a unique blend of practical experience and vast technical knowledge of the sport of motorcycling. Himself a veteran roadracer, he brings an insight to the sport that attracts and ‘pulls in’ the spectator to every event.
John was born & raised on a farm in Northern VT, his upbringing instilling in him a genuine love and respect for the people around him. John's early years were spent in scholastic and extra-curricular activities such as FFA (Future Farmers of America), which taught him how to present and propose concepts to a public audience.
After High School, John enlisted in the Air Force and it was there that he fostered his love for the sport of motorcycling. His first bike was a Honda CB360T, on which he quickly learned to ride and also wrench, being, in his own words, ‘too poor not to’. His riding adventures and natural talent led him to undertake amateur roadracing in 1986 with the AFM, where he quickly became known as a local ‘fast guy’ on 2-stroke, race only Yamaha TZ-series bikes. When he sustained an injury due to a crash in early 1988, John simply could not stay away from the track and began his career as an event announcer/color-man and quickly became known as ‘the Voice of the AFM’.
John brings an unparalleled reputation for excitement, knowledge, enthusiasm and communication to each and every event, allowing contestants, crew, spectators, sponsors and vendors alike to experience each event as if it were the pinnacle of their own individual passion of the sport. In his role as Race Announcer and Color Commentator for N3 Productions, John is primarily responsible for all live promoter and AMA Public address announcements.
John is currently on the Board of Directors for the AFM, and is also an AFM Race School Instructor, former Motorcycle Safety Foundation certified Instructor, and privately contracted Race Instructor. In his spare time he enjoys mountain biking, golf, rock climbing and playing hockey.

The familiarity of a consistent voice, quality of production, and event energy results in the performance of a strong, compelling and marketable event for fans, sponsors and competitors alike, generating an ever-increasing following and participation in AMA Pro Racing events.
